HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE GRE

Remember when we had to take the SAT and the ACT exam to get into college? Well, the GRE exam is pretty much the same thing for grad school. The GRE is used to measure your skills in verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. If you plan on attending grad school and getting your master's degree, you have to take the GRE.

TIPS FOR PREPARING FOR THE GRE

INVEST IN A GRE PREP BOOK
The GRE is a very important test and it requires a lot of studying. A prep book will serve as a guide that you can always refer back to. You can write in it, highlight important text and practice on it. A prep book is a very useful tool. I suggest the Manhattan Prep GRE Guide and the Manhattan Prep GRE Flashcards

CREATE A STUDY SCHEDULE
Having a study schedule and super beneficial. Set a day and time period for each subject and stick to it. Make time for breaks too. Don't burn yourself out!

TAKE PRACTICE TESTS
Practice tests are awesome because you will get an idea of how the real test will will be. The Princeton Review offers a free GRE practice test. Click the link below to check it out.

GET INFORMED!
Inform yourself about the test taking process and everything that has to do with your exam. Make sure you have the accurate study material. Make sure you have the correct date/time and test location, and stay current with any changes or news. Link for the GRE website below.
